The route of Peace offers unique landscapes, rivers, culture, history and contact with local communities that during twelve years were the scene of the civil war that El Salvador went throughout.
Eyewitnesses from recent history, now transformed into peaceful surroundings, offering visitors a climate of serenity and stillness. In its mountainous region. We will find picturesque villages and hills full of charm and natural beauty, with crystalline rivers, waterfalls, ideal places to do camping and hiking.
This route offers the opportunity to know the contemporary history of El Salvador, the cultural roots inherited from the ancient indigenous settlers of Lenca origin.
The towns that integrate the route of the Peace possess traditions very rooted of their ancestors inhabitants, which can be appreciated in the daily life of the inhabitants of these towns.
During Ruta de La Paz tour we’ll be visiting Museo de La Revolución, Perquin Village, Rio Sapo and El Mozote.
